No Survivors: Six Dead After Small Plane Crashed Into Tees In Virginia

Six people have died after a small plane crashed into trees at Virginia airport and burst into flames.

Authorities confirmed there were no survivors in the fiery crash after the aircraft struck the treeline at the end of the runway at Shannon Airport near Fredericksburg.

Horrified train passengers witnessed the plane crash on Friday afternoon. They told police the aircraft had immediately burst into flames after it crashed and was completely destroyed.

Police say they will not release the names of the passengers and crew who were killed in the incident until they have notified their next of kin.

But authorities confirmed that all six people had been from out of state.
Their bodies are due to go to the chief medical examiner's office in Richmond for positive identification, Geller said.
