The Windows 10 Anniversary update is free to all existing Windows 10 users starting Wednesday, August 17.

Microsoft started rolling out Windows 10 Anniversary update for computer's running Windows 10 two weeks ago, Read HERE.

According to Microsoft; "Availability may vary by manufacturer, model, country or region, mobile operator or service provider, hardware limitations and other factors."

This won't be hitting every single handset that's running Windows 10 today - but at least from this point on you know that it is coming".

The update will roll out gradually to Windows 10 users, starting with the newest machines first. If you don't want to wait, head over to the settings menu and go to Update & Security --> Phone update to manually check for it, the update is reportedly to come with 943 MB in size.  As always, back up your system before taking a chance on a major operating system upgrade.

This new software version comes with it rich notifications, notification sync, and a Skype app built on the Universal Windows Platform.
